You stared off dreamily at the night sky through the open window and sighed, wishing that something interesting would happen before the school started. It was two weeks before you would have to go back, and you were bored as heck. Currently, you were sitting in your house's dining room, alone. The sound of the footsteps woke you from your trance and you noticed your mother standing by the now closed door, staring at the ground.
"__________....there's something I have to tell you
You turned around to face your mother as she spoke, a questioning look on your face.
"What happened, Mama?" Your mother looked up at you with a gentle smile, as if she was preparing for you to throw a hissy fit.
"Well, I have good news and bad news, dear." You tried to think of things that could happen. You were doing fine in school, so that couldn't be it. A family member might have died or got sick, maybe. However, you honestly doubted that was it.
"There's someone that I have to introduce to you- two people, and they'll tell you the
other news." A guilty smile was on your mother's face. You glanced at her wearily, her attention grabbed by a knock on the door.
"Come in, you two." At the sound of Mother's voice, two men entered the room and bowed respectively.
"Who are they, Mother?" You was curious as to who these two were. You had never seen them in your life, and they didn't look like the typical businessmen that visited Mama either. There was an older man, and a teen that looked not much older than yourself. The older one had short black hair, and brown eyes. His skin was tanned and he wore a simple black suit. He had the look of an aristocratic man, simple and strict. The younger man had curly dark brown locks and deep emerald eyes. A welcoming smile was on his face, and he looked kind enough. He was dressed in a suit similar to the other man's.
"__________, I've been keeping a secret from you." Your mother's voice was drowned in guilt as she spoke, and her face was turned towards the floor.
"W-What do you mean?" You said, your voice cracking. You stood up from the dining table and walked over to stand by your mother. You crossed her arms and glanced at the two, who looked somewhat uncomfortable.
"__________, this young man is your half brother." The older stranger said in a calm voice, placing a hand on your so called 'brother's' shoulder.
